In week 3 of the USTFCCCA regional rankings, the St. Thomas Aquinas men's track team dropped to 10th in the East. Senior Mike Abelard holds his spots at 2nd in the 60m and 5th in the 200m. The Lady Spartans are currently ranked 14th with their DMR team of Keeley Bateman, Gabriela Sloezen, Rebecca Fortoul, and Meagan Jaskot in 2nd.
Junior George Erazo is ranked 2nd in the region in the 400m and the men's DMR team of Garvenchy Nicolas, George Erazo, Mike Kraus and Joe Chegwidden are ranked 4th in the region. Junior Keely Bateman is currently ranked 8th in the Region in the 800 and Meagan Jaskot is ranked 8th in the region in the 3000m.
George Erazo was named ECC Runner of the Week for his
performance at the Armory Collegiate Challenge where he was the top
Division II Finisher in the 400 for the Championship Division as
well as the Collegiate Division that had about 145 runners where he
finished 27th overall.
The Spartan's will be competing in the CTC Indoor Championships
this weekend where the men finished in 4th place last and women
finished in 13th last year. The CTC Championships will be
held at Wesleyan College in Middleton, Connecticut this
weekend.
