For the first time in program history both the St. Thomas Aquinas College men's and women's Track & Field squads are simultaneously ranked in the East Region in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA DII Poll. This is the women's teams first ever appearance in the ranking during the outdoor season.
On the men's side, George Erazo is regionally ranked in three
events. He is ranked 3rd in the 100m with a time of 11.09,
5th in the 200m with a time of 22.48, and 5th in the region in the
400m (13th in the country) with a time of 48.05. Mike Abelard
is currently ranked 3rd in the 200 with a time of 22.32.
Garvenchy Nicolas is ranked 3rd in the region in the 800m with a
time of 1:56.42. Joe Chegwidden and Mike Galonski are ranked
5th and 6th respectively in the region in the steeplechase in time
of 10:06.86 and 10:20.89. Frankie Colon rounds out the list
in the Long Jump with a 4th place regional ranking in a jump of 19
ft 1 1/4.
For the Lady Soartan's Lisa Brevogel leads the charge being ranked
3rd in the region in the 10k with a time of 46:59.09 . Keeley
Bateman is 8th in the 800 with a time of 2:20.92. Ashley
Weintraub is ranked 2nd in the region in the Steeplechase with a
time of 12:57.34. Rounding out the group is Ashley Santa
Teresa with a regional ranking of 8 with a jump of 14 3 1/4.
