For the men, sophomore Mike Abelard exploded out of the blocks in the 200m dash clocking a NCAA DII National qualifying mark of 21.85, which placed him 6th out of a 120 man field.  He is now unofficially ranked 15th in the US among all DII Track & Field athletes in his respective event.

Freshman Frankie Colon and Senior Vinny Modafferi both raced in the 800m dash.  Modafferi tied his lifetime best, and STAC school record, by winning his heat in 1:56.48, which placed him 16th out of 100 competitors.  This was only Colon's second time racing at this distance, but still closed with a 2:00.95, a lifetime best by three seconds.

Freshman Matt Buell and Kyle Curran represented STAC in the mile.  Buell clocked a time of 4:34.74, chipping one second off his best.  Curran kept the trend alive with a whopping eight second lifetime best of 4:50.46.
