Two Freshman Mike Kraus and Frankie Colon both ran personal best's in the 800 at the Gotham Cup held at the Armory in NYC. Mike Kraus ran 2:01.46 which is his best time indoor/ Frankie Colon ran 2:03.61 which is his best 800 time for the indoor season. Freshman George Erazo finished 15th overall in the 400.
The 4x400 meter team of Erazo, Vinny Modafferri, Rich Ricca, and Desmond Jackson finished 21st overall. The DMR team of Kraus, Erazo, Garvenchy Nicolas and Matt Buell finished 9th overall. Senior Vinny Modafferri also ran his personal best in the 400 of 51.82.
For the Lady Spartans; Keeley Bateman ran 3:17.58 in the 1000 placing her 21st overall. Sarah Callagy ran the 3000 meters and ran 11:09.50 which placed her 29th overall in the meet.
The Spartans will compete again on Friday at the Great Dane Classic also at the Armory in NYC.
