Final preparations continue for the St. Thomas Aquinas College Sprint Football team, as they countdown the days until kickoff of their Inaugural 2018 Season. With approxmately just 30 days remaining until the Spartans play their first-ever CSFL contest against Post University, Head Coach Matt Barry and his staff are eager and excited to hit the field for preseason practices in preparation for their September 15th Season/Home opener.
Coach Barry's first recruiting class of 70+ athletes will officially move onto campus this weekend for week-long team orientation and bonding activities, before officially hitting the practice field next Sunday. Meanwhile, the arrival of equipment, installation of locker/training room facilities at Spartan Field and the set up of the Sprint Football coaches offices, amongst other happenings on campus, continues and are sure signs that football season is just around the corner.
Official on-field practices for the Spartan Sprint Football squad take place beginning August 26th and St. Thomas Aquinas College opens their Inaugural 2018 CSFL Season on Saturday, September 15th against Post University at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. Kick-off is scheduled for 6pm, with pregame festivities to precede the contest.
