Sparkill, N.Y. - East Coast Conference Player of the Year Eliana Raposo closed her softball career at St. Thomas Aquinas College with one of the greatest seasons in the 46-year history of the program. Teammates Elyse Marcano and Sarah Clancy also set significant records to enter the program’s all-time record book.
Raposo, Clancy and Marcano helped the Spartans register their third straight 30-win season and reach the semifinals of the NCAA East Regional for the second consecutive year. The team was also ranked fifth in the NCAA’s East Region, the highest ranking ever for the program.
While the team logged another terrific season, six Spartans were able to enter the program’s record book that carries the best single-season and career statistics in 10 categories since 1980.
