Colonia, N.J. - On Monday, the East Coast Conference announced its Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year, as well as the Scholar-Athletes of the Year for each of its championship sports for the 2024-25 season.
St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball student-athlete Eliana Raposo earned the prestigious academic honor for her sport.
Raposo (Wareham, Mass.) repeated as the ECC Player of the Year after batting a conference-leading .396 this spring while also topping the ECC in slugging percentage (.734), hits (67), runs scored (49), and home runs (14). The STAC junior centerfielder also ranked second in runs batted in (52), fourth in stolen bases (19), and fifth in doubles (15). In conference play only, Raposo slugged at a clip of .723 and boasted a .354 batting average with an ECC-leading seven home runs and 23 runs scored to go with 24 runs batted in and 23 hits. Raposo also sported an unblemished 1.000 fielding percentage, making 85 putouts and six assists without an error in centerfield heading during the 2025 campaign. Raposo carries a 3.87 GPA in mathematics with a concentration in actuarial science.
All ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipients hold at least a 3.30 GPA, are a starter or key reserve, and have reached at least sophomore standing both athletically and academically.
