On Friday, the East Coast Conference announced the recipient of their annual Elite 19 Award for Softball during the conference's tournament semifinal round matchup between St. Thomas Aquinas College and Molloy College at the RVC Sports Complex in Rockville Centre, NY.

The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.

STAC Softball student-athlete Sarah Williams was named the recipient of the award, posting a perfect 4.00 GPA, while majoring in Childood Education with a concentration in Mathematics.

On the field this season, the junior from New Hyde Park, NY, has posted a .268 batting average, with a double, home run, nine RBI and six runs scored in 24 contests, to date, during 2021.
