The St. Thomas Aquinas women's softball team beat AIC, 7-5 on Tuesday afternoon.  STAC fell to West Virginia Wesleyan, 4-1 and in their double header with Rollins, 10-0, 9-1.  Julie Sosnicki picked up her 2nd win on the mound with 5 strike outs.  

STAC got on the scoreboard early as Samantha McDonald led off with a double then advanced to third on a sac bunt by Briana Emanuele and eventually scored on a throwing error.  McDonald struck again reaching first on a error to load the bases for STAC.  With two outs Brittany Mangan's walk scored a run for STAC to even things up, 3-3.  

STAC used a 4-run 5th inning highlighted by a 3 RBI homerun by Kim Nowak to put the yellow jackets away for good.   

Against Rollins, McDonald led of with a solo homerun to earn STAC its only run in the double header.  

STAC is scheduled to take on Queens College on March 25th for a double header beginning at 3:00 pm.
