The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team won 3-2 in the first game against Pace University before falling 6-2.  Joy Ferriello went 2-for-3 in the first game including a 2 run homerun.   Heather Clausen stole home in the top of the sixth to give STAC a 3-2 edge over Pace.  Maura Power earned the win going 7 innings, yielding 4 hit and striking out 4 batters. 

In game two, the Setters got out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st inning and held the Lady Spartan offense quiet for the first four innings.  STAC added a run in the 5th inning as Clausen hit an RBI single to score Power.  Megan Sweey hit a solo homer in the 6th but it was not enough as Pace scored two more runs to secure a 6-2 victory. 

STAC will travel to C.W. Post tomorrow for a 12:00 game.
