Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team earned its second straight sets victory over Sacred Heart University in the span of three weeks with another 3-0 blanking, this time at the Spartan Athletic Complex on Friday evening.
STAC moves to 5-9 on the year and sweeps the season series over the Pioneers, while Sacred Heart falls to the .500 mark at 6-6.

How it Happened
- As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas recorded 45 kills compared to Sacred Heart University's 44. The Spartans also had 8.5 blocks and 42 assists, while the Pioneers tallied 8.5 blocks and 42 assists.
- STAC outhit Sacred Heart by a .295 to .271 margin for the match.
- Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 17 kills. Versteegen also registered two service aces, eight digs and four block assists
- Marcus Franck tallied a match-high 30 serve assists (10.0 assists/set). He also accumulated three digs for the maroon and gold.
- Santiago Valenca picked up nine kills, five digs and a block assist on Friday.
- Luis Grath racked up nine kills, three digs and three block assists against the Pioneers.
- Jakob Schwarz contributed five kills, four digs and two block assists.
- Alan Santiago accumulated three kills, a dig and two block assists in the match.
- David Weiss put together a two kill, one serve assist and five block assist effort for the maroon and gold.
