Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team opened East Coast Conference play on Thursday evening by rolling past Roberts Wesleyan University in straight sets at the Spartan Athletic Complex.

STAC moves to 7-11 overall and 1-0 in ECC action, while Roberts Wesleyan falls to 12-10 and 0-1.

• As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas recorded 41 kills compared to Roberts Wesleyan's 38. The Spartans also had 5 blocks and 38 assists, while the Redhawks tallied 2 blocks and 37 assists.
• STAC outhit Roberts Wesleyan by a .289 to .280 margin for the match.
• Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 17 kills. Versteegen also registered a serve assist, two service aces, four digs and a solo block.
• Marcus Franck tallied a team-high 28 serve assists (9.33 assists/set). He also accumulated a kill and four digs for the maroon and gold.
