Rochester, N.Y. - The No. 2 seeded St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team advanced to its third-straight ECC title match with a 3-0 victory over No. 3 seed Dominican University (7-18, 3-3 ECC) in the semifinal round of the conference tournament, held at the Voller Athletic Center on the Roberts Wesleyan University Campus Friday afternoon.
STAC improves to 12-13 overall and will face the top seed and hosts Roberts Wesleyan University in the East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament Final on Saturday afternoon (2:00 p.m.) in Rochester. Roberts Wesleyan (19-10) defeated No. 4 seed American International College, 3-0 in the other semifinal matchup. Meanwhile, American International closes out its 2025-2026 campaign at 2-21 and 0-6 in league play.
Additionally, prior to the postseason match between the Spartans and Chargers, the ECC Elite 20 Award was presented by league Associate Commissioner Nikki Philpot to St. Thomas Aquinas' Ivaylo Todorov. Todorov, a sophomore Computer Science major and Sports Management minor, holds a 3.98 GPA and is tops among all East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball student-athletes.

How it Happened
- As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas recorded 37 kills compared to Dominican's 25. The Spartans also had 14 blocks and 30 assists, while the Chargers tallied 0.5 blocks and 23 assists.
- STAC outhit Dominican by a .333 to .076 margin for the match.
- Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 12 kills. Versteegen also registered a serve assist, a service ace, six digs, a solo block and seven block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied a match-high 27 serve assists (9.0 assists/set). He also accumulated three kills, a service ace, two digs and three block assists for the maroon and gold.
- Alan Santiago picked up a match-high 12 kills, a serve assist, a service ace, three digs and three block assists on Friday.
- Ylan Tapper racked up five kills, a serve assist, three service aces, three digs and a block assist against the Chargers.
- Luis Grath contributed four kills, a dig and four block assists.
- David Weiss accumulated a kill, a service ace, four digs and eight block assists across three sets in the match.
- Ivaylo Todorov put together a seven dig effort for the maroon and gold.
