Fairfield, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team snapped a two match losing streak on Friday evening with a straight sets road victory over Sacred Heart University at the William H. Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center.

STAC moves to 3-7 on the season, with Sacred Heart dropping to 5-3 on the year.

How it Happened

  • As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas and Sacred Heart recorded 39 kills apiece. The Spartans also had 7 blocks and 37 assists, while the Pioneers tallied 4.5 blocks and 38 assists.
  • Sacred Heart outhit STAC by a .342 to .338 margin for the match.
  • Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 17 kills. Versteegen also registered two serve assists, a service ace, six digs and three block assists.
