Fairfield, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team snapped a two match losing streak on Friday evening with a straight sets road victory over Sacred Heart University at the William H. Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center.

STAC moves to 3-7 on the season, with Sacred Heart dropping to 5-3 on the year.

How it Happened

• As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas and Sacred Heart recorded 39 kills apiece. The Spartans also had 7 blocks and 37 assists, while the Pioneers tallied 4.5 blocks and 38 assists.
• Sacred Heart outhit STAC by a .342 to .338 margin for the match.
• Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 17 kills. Versteegen also registered two serve assists, a service ace, six digs and three block assists.
• Marcus Franck tallied a team-high 28 serve assists (9.33 assists/set). He also accumulated five digs for the maroon and gold.
• Jakob Schwarz picked up ten kills, two service aces, two digs and two block assists on Friday.
• Luis Grath racked up six kills, a serve assist, a solo block and two block assists against the Pioneers.
• Alan Santiago contributed three kills, a serve assist, three digs and a block assist.
• David Weiss accumulated two kills, a service ace, a dig and four block assists in the match.
• Ivaylo Todorov put together a two serve assist, three dig effort for the visitors from Sparkill.
