Sparkill, N.Y. - Closing out regular season play on Saturday, the now two-time East Coast Conference Regular Season Champion St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team handed crosstown rivals Dominican University a 3-0 blanking at the Spartan Athletic Complex.
STAC improves to 14-9 overall and finishes with a perfect 6-0 record in ECC play. Meanwhile Dominican falls to 6-21 and 3-3.
As a result of their unblemished conference record and second straight regular season crown, the Spartans will host the upcoming ECC Men's Volleyball Tournament at the Spartan Athletic Complex on April 18 and 19.

How it Happened
- As a team, STAC recorded 42 kills compared to Dominican's 21. The Spartans also had 10.5 blocks and 37 assists, while the Chargers tallied 11.5 blocks and 21 assists.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College outhit Dominican University by a .222 to .000 margin for the match.
- Jannis Freude led the Spartans offense with a match-high 16 kills. He also had two service aces and three block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 26 set assists (8.7 assists/set). Franck also accumulated two kills, two service aces, four digs and two block assists for the maroon and gold.
- Gabriel Vieira registered 11 kills, two assists, seven digs and two block assists for the Spartans.
- Kyran Versteegen picked up 10 kills, two digs and three block assists for STAC on Saturday.
- Raoul Kerkdijk recorded two kills, two assists, two digs, a solo block and four block assists on the afternoon.
- David Weiss earned two assists, a service ace, a dig and five block assists against the Chargers.
- Ivaylo Todorov accumulated 11 digs over three sets.
- STAC has now recorded ten sweeps in 23 total matches this season.
