Fairfax, Va. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team closed out their participation in the Uvaldo Acosta Memorial Tournament on Saturday afternoon by dropping a 3-0 decision to California State University, Northridge at the Recreation Athletic Complex on the campus of George Mason University.
STAC falls to 3-5 on the season, while Cal State, Northridge improves to 6-2.

How it Happened
- As a team, Cal State, Northridge recorded 35 kills compared to STAC's 23. The Matadors also had 9 blocks and 31 assists, while the Spartans tallied 4 blocks and 21 assists.
- Cal State, Northridge outhit St. Thomas Aquinas College by a .284 to .013 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with 12 kills. He also had a service ace, three digs and two block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 16 serve assists (5.33 assists/set). Franck also accumulated a kill, a service ace and four digs for the maroon and gold.
- Nicholas Santos recorded five kills, and assist, four digs and a block assist on the afternoon.
- Jannis Freude put together a one kill, one dig and one block assist effort against the Matadors.
- Joaquim Petegrosso registered three digs for the Spartans.
- Ivaylo Todorov accumulated one assist and seven digs over three sets.
