SPARKILL, N.Y. – On Friday, the East Coast Conference announced the results of its Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll, with St. Thomas Aquinas College picked to finish fifth in the league's standings.
Returning to the field for their spring season in 2021, following an abbreviated 2020 campaign due to COVID-19, the Spartans posted a 0-6 record (0-3 ECC).
The Spartans return 10 players from last year's squad and will add a mix of freshmen and upperclassman to a very talented and promising roster.
St. Thomas Aquinas will battle ECC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Mercy College, along with the Frostburg State University, Roberts Wesleyan College, Molloy College, the University of the District of Columbia and D'Youville College for the right to be called ECC Men's Lacrosse Champion. The teams will only play each other once in the regular season.
The action gets underway for the Spartans on Saturday, February 19 (1:00 p.m.) at American International College.
