St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse Goaltender Ryan Mello was named the ECC Defensive Player of the Week, following the Spartans 7-6 overtime setback to Molloy College this past Saturday.
Mello had 19 saves between the pipes for the Spartans. He recorded a .731 save percentage, to keep the Spartans in the game despite seeing a barage of shots (50) by the Lions, of which 26 reached the cage.
On the season Ryan maintains a 5-8 record (T-6th ECC) with a 9.98 goals against average (5th in ECC) and a .568 save percentage (2nd in ECC) in 13 games played.
