Monsey, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team kicked off its 2025-2026 campaign on Friday night, hosting Seton Hall University at Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Rockland County. Andrew Fenninger's four-point night, including a hat trick, propelled the host Spartans to an 8-2 triumph over the Pirates.
STAC moves to 1-0 on the year, while Seton Hall drops to 0-1.
In addition to Fenninger's three-goal performance, teammate Noah Barr scored twice, while James Guild, John Brennan, and Allen Magie also lit the lamp for the maroon and gold. Michael Pippo (W, 1-0) got the start between the pipes for the Spartans and turned aside 35 of 37 shots faced to earn his first win of the season.
