Fenninger and Poggi Reach Career Milestones in 8-1 Regular Season Finale Win at NJIT

Newark, N.J. - Closing out 2025-2026 regular season play, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team scored their way to an 8-1 Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference victory over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Sunday evening at the RWJ Barnabas Health Hockey House at Prudential Center.

STAC improves to 16-4-2 overall and 11-1 in MCHC play. The victory also secures the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference playoffs, which begins with semifinal action on Friday, February 20 at Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Monsey, New York.

Jason Desalvo and Jeremy Poggi tallied a pair of goals each for the Spartans, with teammates Joey Camporeale, Andrew Fenninger, Gage Parnell and William Thyberg also scoring a goal apiece. For Fenninger and Poggi, they also each reached career milestones in the game, with the junior center hitting the 150-point mark and the senior winger reaching the 100-point plateau.

Theo Morris got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 23 of 24 shots fired his way to run his record to 5-2-2 on the season.
