Monsey, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team erupted for nine goals on Friday evening, as the maroon and gold downed York College of Pennsylvania, 9-5 at Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks.
STAC moves to 1-2 overall following the non-conference tilt in Rockland County.
Freshman Allen Magie tallied his first career collegiate hat-trick, while senior James Tremblay scored twice. Freshman Jason Desalvo, senior Noah Barr, sophomore Christopher Smith and freshman Anthony Prunty also added to the totals on the stat sheet with a goal apiece.
Sophomore goalie Theo Morris (W, 1-1) got his second straight start between the pipes for the Spartans and made 29 saves to pick up his first win of the new campaign.
