Pittston, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team opened the 2024 ACHA Showcase on Friday evening, falling to Central Maine Community College, 9-4, at Revolution Ice Centre.
STAC falls back to the .500 mark at 4-4 on the year with the loss.
Noah Barr, Nicholas Delia, Christopher Smith and Anthony Prunty scored a goal apiece for the Spartans, as Michael Pippo (L, 2-3) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and allowed nine goals on 46 shots over the first 51 minutes of action, before Theo Morris saw time in net for the final nine minutes of the contest. Morris stopped all nine shots that were fired his way.
