Norwich, Conn. - Playing in their second of back-to-back games in less than 22 hours, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team saw its five-game win streak come to a halt on Sunday at the hands of the United States Coast Guard Academy by the score of 7-3 at the RoseGarden Ice Arena.
The setback sends STAC to 9-5 overall on the season.
Jason Desalvo, Noah Barr and John Brennan scored a goal apiece for the Spartans, as Michael Pippo (L, 5-4) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and allowed four goals on 18 shots over the first 33 minutes of action, before Theo Morris saw time in net for the final 26 minutes of the contest. Morris stopped 16 of 18 shots that were fired his way.
