A perfect week on the hardwood, along with six consecutive victories, has put the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team in the #16 position in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
Following STAC's 81-63 road victory at Mercy College last week, the maroon and gold now hold an outstanding 21-3 overall record and a perfect 12-0 mark in the East Coast Conference.
The Spartans are currently being led by James Patterson (Fr./G/Richmond, Va.) - averaging 14.2 points & 7.3 rebounds per game, DeVante Jamison (Jr./G/Dorchester, Mass.) - averaging 14.2 points & 5.6 assists per game, Jamal Barnes (Jr./G/Temple Hills, Md.) - averaging 12.3 points per game and Antonio Vendola (Sr./G/Fernandina Beach, Fla.) - averaging 11.3 points per game.
The team's offense currently averages 86.3 points scored per game, while their defense surrenders an average of only 71.8 points per game.
STAC visits Western New York to face Daemen University on Friday, February 17 (7:30 p.m.) and then D'Youville University on Sunday, February 19 (3:00 p.m.).
