Grant Singleton Earns NABC All-America Honors

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Tuesday the 2020-21 NABC Coaches’ Division II All-America team. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division II, the 16 student-athletes chosen, represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in NCAA Division II. St. Thomas Aquinas College guard Grant Singleton received the high honor for his outstanding junior season on the hardwood for the Spartans.

Singleton, who was also named a First Team All-East District selection by the NABC on March 22, has picked up an array of awards and honors for his outstanding play during the 2020-2021 season. Grant was also named an ECC First Team All-Conference selection, the Most Outstanding Player of the ECC Tournament and a NCAA Division II East Region All-Tournament team member. He is also a nominee for D2CCA All-America honors and the Metropolitian Basketball Writers Association's annual awards.

The Sumter, South Carolina native helped lead the Spartans to a 14-2 overall record, with a 9-1 ECC mark, their fourth ECC Regular Season Championship, the team's fifth ECC Tournament crown in the last six seasons and the program's sixth consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament appearance.

Grant was in the top five in several statistical categories for both his team and the East Coast Conference, including:

Points Per Game (17.2): 1st on Team, 4th in ECC

Total Points (275): 1st on Team, 2nd in ECC

Total Field Goals Made (104): 2nd on Team, 3rd in ECC

Total Three Point Field Goals Made (35): 1st on Team, 3rd in ECC

Assists Per Game (2.9): 2nd on Team

Total Assists (47): 2nd on Team

Steals Per Game (1.6): 2nd on Team, 4th in ECC

Total Steals (26): 2nd on Team, 3rd in ECC
