The St. Thomas Aquinas College men's golf team sits atop the field following Round 1 in the NCAA East/Atlantic Super Regional. The Spartans carded a team score of 286 which is 2 under par at the Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY.
Freshman Nolan Skags (70) led the team for the day and is currently tied for 2nd place overall. His spectacular play helped set the stage for the Spartans six stroke lead heading into Round 2. Donte Graposo and Joseph Tammarro provided strong support with rounds of 71 (T6) and 72 (T11) respectively. Norman Viron (73) and Jake Yarmolowitz (76) rounded out the Spartan scoring.
The Spartans will tee off at 8:20 AM on Friday, May 6th with the tournament scheduled to conclude on Saturday, May 7.
