The St. Thomas Aquinas College Golf program announced on Tuesday a new partnership with the Tappan Golf Center located in nearby Tappan, NY.

Under the partnership, the Spartan Golf team will have premier access to a grass driving range at the far end of the center's property. The hitting area spans over 85 yards and players have over 300 yards of open area to hit to. In addition, the team will be allowed to use the golf center's club fitting and repair shops, as well as the new FlightScope technology, which will be completely installed during 2019. As part of the agreement, in exchange for the exclusive right to use the facility, St. Thomas Aquinas College will maintain the range.

Tappan Golf Center offers a comprehensive golf experience with their repair shop, heated range bays during the winter months for continued practice and instruction, a first class teaching studio and club fitting program.

"We are thrilled to be able to continue to make our golf program first class through this new agreement," said St. Thomas Aquinas College Director of Athletics Gerry Oswald. "For the last 17 years, our program has competed in the NCAA DII Atlantic/East Regional, and has won the region championship twice in 2011 and 2016. The team has also advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship 7 out of the last 10 years. We are excited to partner with the Tappan Golf Center, knowing that our student-athletes will benefit from a top notch facility, and a professional and knowledgeable staff."
