The St. Thomas Aquinas College golf team were the runner-up in the VGA/UConn Collegiate Invitational.  Michael Miranda finished in 2nd place shooting 2-under for the three day event.

Miranda shot 72, 70, 72 to lead the way for the Spartans who finished seven strokes behind the leader and host school, UConn.  Kevin Gately shot 1-over for the tournament finishing in 8th place.  Brendan Hunter was among the top 20 while Michael Frizzalone and Hamish Houston tied for 28th place.  Frizzalone shot the low round for the Spartans, carding a 68 during his final round of play.
