STAC Women’s Flag Football Stays Unstoppable, Sweeps Post and Mount Saint Mary 31-6

Newburgh, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Flag Football team ran their current winning streak to five games with a pair of 31-6 victories over Post University and Mount Saint Mary College on Sunday afternoon at Kaplan Field.

STAC improves to 5-1 on the year.

Game One vs. Post University

The Spartans received contributions on the offensive side of the football from Chloe Ahorrio, who threw two touchdown passes and ran for three more scores, while totaling 253 rushing yards and Alaila Thomas, who was on the receiving end of both Ahorrio TD passes. Meanwhile, Bria Blacknall picked off an Eagles pass to help secure the win.

Game Two vs. Mount Saint Mary College

STAC saw outstanding performances from Chloe Ahorrio, who once again starred with her arm and her legs, throwing for two scores and running for three more touchdowns, Alaila Thomas, who picked up another TD reception and Ella Call, who hauled in her first career receiving touchdown. On the defensive side of the football, Bria Blacknall was again swiping opposing team passes as Blacknall racked up two more interceptions against the Knights.
