A First to Remember: STAC Women's Flag Football Rolls to Historic 40-6 Win Over Iona

New Rochelle, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Flag Football team claimed their first-ever win in program history on Friday afternoon, rolling over Iona University, 40-6, at Mazzella Field in Westchester County.

STAC moves to 1-1 on the season with the victory.

Starring in the contest for the Spartans was Chloe Ahorrio, who threw for two touchdowns, ran for three more scores and grabbed a pass for another tally. Teammates Ava Manneh and Hailey Sawh also caught passes for touchdowns, while Bria Blacknall picked off a Gael's pass.

The Spartans return to action on Thursday, April 2 against the University at Albany. Game time between the Spartans and Great Danes is set for 2:30 p.m. at Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium in the Capital District.
