Colorado Springs, Colo. - On Friday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its annual Division II Scholars of Distinction for 2025. St. Thomas Aquinas College's Ailsa Ogivie and Lily Schommer were each honored with the distinguished designation, as a result of their exceptional work inside of the classroom.
Ogilvie (Kelso Scotland), an Exercise Science major and Schommer (Chula Vista, Calif.), a 7-12 English Education major qualified for the prestigious honor by demonstrating exceptional prowess, maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.90 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
A noteworthy total of 144 undergraduate student-athletes have attained the status of NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction.
