Bloomsburg, Pa. - Continuing their season-opening five-game road trip, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of No. 5 nationally ranked Bloomsburg University on Wednesday afternoon at Steph Pettit Stadium in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
STAC falls to 1-2 on the season, while Bloomsburg remains perfect on the year at 6-0.
Kate Ferguson and Arianna Deliso each tallied a pair of goals for Bloomsburg, while teammates Morgan Magditch, Alli Bucher, Genna Bush and Jordan Bond also added to the Huskies totals on the scoreboard with a goal apiece.
In the cage, Maura Greek (W, 6-0) got the start in goal for the Huskies and faced no shots over 60 minutes of action. Ailsa Ogilvie (L, 1-1) got start in the cage for the Spartans and made 16 stops on 21 shots, before being spelled by Evelyn McEwen, who made 2 saves on 5 shots in the final four plus minutes of action.
