St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Field Hockey athlete Jasmijn Van Drunen has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, following the Spartans 1-1 week, which included a thrilling one-goal victory over Saint Anselm College.
Van Drunen (Fr./Bilthoven, Netherlands) scored the game-winning goal off of a penalty corner by teammate Hailey Galison, as STAC defeated the #10 nationally-ranked Hawks, 1-0, to earn a key NE10 victory.
STAC (4-6, 2-3 NE10) returns to action on Wednesday, October 19 for a 2:30 p.m. matchup with Mercy College at Spartan Field. Senior Day festivities will precede the contest between the Spartans and Mavericks.
