West Caldwell, N.J. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Sprint Football team dropped its third straight contest, a 34-6 decision to Caldwell University on Saturday afternoon at Bonnel Field in New Jersey.
STAC slips to 1-3 on the year, while Caldwell improves to 2-2.
STAC HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Michael Jones-Cotton led the Spartans' run game with six rushing attempts for 27 total yards. Additionally, Aaron Cruz ran seven times for 22 yards.
- Cruz also caught three passes for 36 total yards, while Eric Neal, Jr. accumulated six receptions for 25 yards.
- Starting quarterback Tynez Harp completed 13 of 28 passes, for 84 yards, while also throwing three passes for interceptions. He also had seven rushing attempts.
- Ibrahim Conteh led the STAC defense on Saturday with 16 total tackles (10 solo, 6 assist), with 5.5 tackles going for losses totaling 33 yards. He also dropped Caldwell quarterbacks to the turf, collecting 3.5 sacks for 27 yards.
- Brandon Jimenez, Daniel Cruz III and Marc Hector also picked up a half sack apiece.
- Dylan Honan and Prince Alvarado were each credited with interceptions in the contest, while Armando Medley forced a fumble.
- Kicker Andrew Stosko went 2-for-2 in his field goal opportunities, hitting from both 30 and 42 yards.
