STAC Men's Volleyball Earns 2024-25 ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award

Colonia, N.J. - On Thursday afternoon, the East Coast Conference announced the 2024-25 recipients of its annual Academic Team of Excellence Awards. 

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team was given such distinction by the ECC, as the awards are presented to the team with the highest cumulative grade point average in their respective ECC-sponsored sport.

82 percent of the conference's teams (118 of 144) achieved a 3.0 team GPA or higher. UDC's tennis teams led the way with the women holding the highest overall GPA of any ECC team (3.91), while the Firebird men had the highest of any men's team (3.83). 

100 percent of the ECC's baseball, men’s tennis, men’s volleyball, women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, softball, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball programs achieved a 3.0 team GPA or higher.

Additionally, six teams saw each member of their squad earn a 3.25 GPA or higher in the Daemen women’s cross country team, District of Columbia women’s tennis team, D’Youville women’s bowling and women’s tennis teams, Mercy women’s volleyball team, and Molloy women’s cross country team.
