Hartnel Haye, Michael Pippo, Hannah Jung and Chanelle Russell were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for November.
Hanna Jung, Women's Triathlon:
Hanna Jung qualified for the 2024 NCAA/USA Triathlon Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships by way of her 34th place finish at the East Regional and went on to compete in the National Championship race in Clermont, Florida on November 8 and 9.
At the national championship, the Siegen, Germany native clocked in at just over 12 minutes in her swin time trial, before Jung charged to the front of the bike leg with her best ride of the season, and dismounted in second position. Unfortunately, in the process of transition, she tweaked her back. Jung valiantly tried to continue, but had difficulty breathing deeply, which ultimately caused her to withdraw from the race.
