Erin Leary, Karolina Jaruseviciute, Jamal Barnes and DeVante Jamison were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for December.
Erin Leary, Women's Basketball:
Erin Leary averaged 18.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in six contests during the month of December. The sophomore forward from Carle Place, N.Y. also had five steals and four blocked shots, while shooting 43.5% (37-of-85) from the field, 37.5% (12-of-32) from three and 88.5% (23-of-26) from the foul line.
In recognition of her outstanding play on the hardwood, Leary was named both the ECC Defensive Player of the Week on December 12 and Player of the Week on December 19.
