Jorge Umana, Joseph Harrison, Lauren Cooper and Elita Silins were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for October.
Lauren Cooper, Women's Field Hockey:
Lauren Cooper recorded nine goals and an assist during the month of October. Her ability to find back of the net was especially evident against Southern Connecticut State University on October 28, when she recorded four goals and an assist in the match.
Cooper, the senior midfielder from Wakefield, England, registered 45 shots (26 on goal) over the 10 games she participated in for the Spartans.
In recognition of her outstanding efforts on the field, Lauren Cooper was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week on November 1.
