Jamal Barnes, Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, Sarah Ericson and Skylar Moreno were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for January.
Sarah Ericson, Women's Basketball:
Sarah Ericson averaged 12.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game in eight contests during the month of January. The freshman guard from Norwich, Conn. also had eight steals and a blocked shot, while shooting 46.1% (30-of-65) from the field, 44% (18-of-41) from three and 79.1% (19-of-24) from the foul line.
In recognition of her exceptional play on the hardwood, Ericson was named the ECC Rookie of the Week on January 18 and 24.
