Sean Lynch, Tyler Senatore, Carissa Della Vecchia and Jennifer Farrell were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for March.
Sean Lynch, Baseball:
Lynch helped lead the Spartans to a 6-0 record to open the 2021 season, as he posted a .643 batting average, going 9-for-14 at the plate, with 9 RBI and 4 runs scored in four games during the month of March. Sean, also contributed three doubles and a triple, while opposing pitchers walked him on two occasions.
The freshman catcher from Highland Mills, N.Y. was also a mainstay defensively for the Spartans, as Lynch posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
In recognition of his outstanding play on the diamond, Lynch was named the ECC Rookie of the Week in back-to-back weeks (Mar. 15 & Mar. 22).
