Kaitlyn Gutenberger and Demetre Roberts were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for February.
Kaitlyn Gutenberger, Women's Lacrosse:
Gutenberger tallied 21 goals on 38 shots (26 on goal) in three contests during the month of February. Her ability to find the back of the net placed her first on the team in scoring with 27 points. Kaitlyn also had 8 successful draw controls, 5 ground balls, 1 caused turnover and went 7 for 9 (78.0%) from the 8-meter line during that stretch.
The redshirt junior midfielder from Stony Point, N.Y. paced the Spartans to a 3-0 overall record in the month, including victories over Holy Family (19-15), Saint Rose (13-8) and Post (15-8), and in recognition of her terrific start to the 2020 season, was named the ECC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on February 24th.
