Robert Guidicipietro and Meaghan Ventarola were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for October.
Meaghan Ventarola, Women's Cross Country:
Ventarola was the top finisher for her team in three races for the Lady Spartans during October. A 9th overall finish (25:18.0) at the Saint Leo University Pre-National Invitational in Florida, helped guide her and her teammates to a seventh place team finish.
The senior from Monroe, NY posted a time of 18:32.3, which was good for a 4th overall finish in the East Coast Conference Championships in Rochester, New York. The team took home a third place team finish with Meaghan's help.
Ventarola was tabbed as a First Team All-Conference selection at the East Coast Conference Championships and Meaghan's stellar performances each week have helped the Lady Spartans climb the ladder in the East Region and maintain a 10th overall ranking.
