Deven Del Priore and Chris Gentle were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for May.
Chris Gentle, Golf:
Chris finished first overall with a 3-day score of 223 (77, 64, 72) at the NCAA Division II Men's Atlantic/East Super Regional on May 2nd-4th in Baldwinsville, NY. Gentle shot his best round on the second day of the tournament, which helped lead the Spartans to their second Atlantic/East Super Regional Title in program history.
The senior golfer from Lowell, MA then went on, along with his teammates, to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship in Denver, Colorado on May 17th-19th, where Chris finished tied for 72nd with a 3-day score of 224 (77, 75, 72). The Spartans finished as a team, tied for 16th with a 3-day total of 884 (298, 292, 294).
Gentle was honored for his outstanding work during the 2015-2016 season, by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), as Chris was selected to the Division II PING All-Region Team for the East Region on May 16th, along with fellow teammates Brendan Hunter and Mike Miranda.
