Gabriela Sloezen and Chaz Watler were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for January.
Chaz Watler, Men's Basketball:
Watler averaged 14.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in nine contests during the month of January. The junior guard from Brooklyn. NY dished out 36 assists, had 7 steals, a block and shot 51.6% (48-93) from the field, 39.3% (13-33) from the three-point line and 75.0% (21-28) from the foul line.
Chaz was honored for his exceptional play on the court by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association on January 26, as he was named their Division II Player of the Week.
