Spartans Ranked #23 In Latest WBCA Women's Basketball Coaches Poll

In the midst of a three game winning streak, including two more victories over both Mercy College and the University of Bridgeport last week, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball team has moved into the Top 25 in all of Division II Women's Basketball, according to the latest national poll released on Tuesday afternoon by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

Now ranked #23, the 13-1 (5-0 ECC) Spartans are currently being led by Jenna Erickson (Senior/Guard/Melrose, NY) - averaging 15.8 points per game & 4.9 assists per game, while Adiya Henderson (Senior/Forward/Troy, NY) and Emily Preston (Freshman/Forward/Brisbane, Australia) - are each averaging 6.4 rebounds per game.

The team's offense averages 68.6 points scored per game, while their tough defense only surrenders an NCAA Division II-best 50.8 points per game.

St. Thomas Aquinas College travels to Worcester, MA on Wednesday, January 10th for a 5:30pm contest against Assumption College, before returning to ECC action on Saturday, January 13th in our Nation's Capital versus the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, with tip-off set for 1pm.
