For the third straight year the St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field team will be hosting the Spartan Invitational Track Meet at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, with events starting at 12 P.M. Teams from California, North Carolina and the Northeast will converge on Staten Island, NY, as approximately 2,000 of the best Division I, II & III athletes will be competing in various events.
This year's meet will include Mobolade Ajomale, from Academy of Art, who was the National Champion in the 60 meters and the 200 meters for Division II. He was also a part of the Canadian Olympic 4x100 Meter Relay team that received a bronze medal in 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. St Jacob Diodonet returns to compete for St. Thomas Aquinas College in the 400 and 200 Meter Dashes, where he finished 12th overall in the 400 at the NCAA Division II Nationals last year. St. Augustine's University of North Carolina will be coming to the New York Metropolitan Area this year as a team always in contention to win a National Championship on both the Men's and Women's side. Division I schools Rider, St. Francis, Lafayette, Loyola, St. Francis and others will also be competing with the Division II and Division III teams at the Spartan Invitational.
