The St. Thomas Aquinas College softball team has been honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for having nine scholar-athletes for the 2012 season.  This year's honorees are Vittoria Adams*, Heather Clausen, Shelby Coyle, Jamie-Lyn McCormick, Devin Meikle, Melissa Place, Michelle Sasso, Megan Sweezy and Samantha Wagenstein.

To achieve this honor, a student-athlete must have obtained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale, at the conclusion of the 2011-12 academic year.

The Lady Spartans will open up the 2013 season in early March in Clermont, Florida.
