The St. Thomas Aquinas Softball team lost to Dowling, 4-0 and 13-4 on Tuesday afternoon.  Shelby Coyle went 2-for-3 in the second game including a bases loaded double to score three runs for STAC.  The Lady Spartans honored their four seniors; Heather Clausen, Sharis Ruiz, Michelle Sasso and Victoria Tiso in a pre-game ceremony.

In game one, Katie Meyers and Alisa Cippola each had two hits for STAC.  The Lady Spartans had 8 hits and left 4 runners on base.  Clausen and Sasso each added a hit in the first game.  Maura Power struck out 4 in the loss.  Stephanie Tarango had a 2-run homerun in the 6th followed by a single homerun by Emily Slack for the Lions.

In game two, Coyle's double put the Lady Spartans on the scoreboard making the score 10-3.  Sasso hit a sinlge to score Ruiz for STAC's fourth run of the game.  Power along with Megan Sweezy each added a strikeout in the loss.

The Lady Spartans will host C.W. Post on Saturday for their final ECC game of the season.
