The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat Bloomsburg, 3-1 in this evenings season opener.  Chris Hernandez, James Earl and Sean Riley all scored for STAC.  Andrew Tartara had three saves in goal.

Hernadez scored his goal off a penalty kick to tie the score 1-1.  STAC took the lead as Daniel Davren's shot was deflected and Earl followed up the rebound with a one-touch shot into the left corner of the net. The Spartans held onto the 2-1 lead going into the half.  Sean Riley sealed the victory with a penalty kick goal in the second half to highlight his debut as a Spartan. 

STAC will travel to Lock Haven(PA) for a 2:00 PM game on Saturday.
